Objawy

  • The eruptions typically appear on the flexor aspects of the wrists and forearms, as well as the lower legs at and above the ankle.
  • The lesions present as shiny, flat-topped papules measuring 2-10 mm, dull red in color and markedly itchy.
  • A lacy, white network of lines — Wickham's striae — can be seen across the lesion surface.
  • Persistent lesions, typically on the shins, can progress into merging, thickened plaques resembling lichen simplex chronicus, their surface rough and scaly.
  • Between 40 and 60% of lichen planus cases show mucous membrane involvement.

Prepare as a decoction and give half the dose in the morning and half in the evening. Keep the dregs and decoct them a second time; use that liquid as a warm compress over the affected area for 10-15 minutes, once a day. After a two-week period, cut back both the oral and topical applications to every other day.
