Lokalizacja

  1. 010.1 cun above and toward the nose from the eye's inner canthus, close to the medial edge of the orbit.
  2. 020.1 cun superior to the inner canthus. (Locate the point with the eyes closed.)
  3. 03Found in the small depression 0.1 cun above the inner canthus.

Nakłucie

  1. 01Insert perpendicularly, 0.2 to 0.3 cun deep.
  2. 02Have the patient close both eyes and turn them toward the side to be needled; using the index finger of one hand, push the eyeball gently but firmly toward the lateral side. With the other hand, insert the needle perpendicularly to a depth of 0.5 to 1 cun, avoiding any lifting, thrusting, or rotation. As soon as the needle is withdrawn, apply firm pressure with a cotton ball for roughly a minute to prevent bruising. Caution: this technique should only be performed under proper clinical supervision.
  3. 03Perpendicular insertion. Instruct the patient to shut the eye, then gently move the eyeball laterally, away from the point, and hold it in place with one finger. Insert the needle slowly with minimal agitation or twirling, passing between the orbit and the nose to a depth of 1 to 1.5 cun. The patient may feel local distention and soreness spreading behind and around the eyeball. Caution: slight bleeding after needling is fairly common at this point. Applying pressure for a short time after withdrawing the needle will stop it. If bleeding does occur, the skin around the eye may take on a purplish color; a cold compress applied first, followed by a warm one, will help resolve the bleeding, and the discoloration should clear within a week without affecting vision. Take care not to insert the needle too deeply, as this risks entering the cranial cavity.
  4. 04Have the patient close the eyes while gently pushing the eyeball to the lateral side. Insert the needle slowly and perpendicularly, 0.3 to 0.7 cun deep, following the orbital wall. Vigorous twisting, lifting, or thrusting of the needle should be avoided. Press the puncture site for several seconds after withdrawing the needle to prevent bleeding.
