- 022 cun proximal to SJ-4 Yangchi, between the radius and the ulna.
- 032 cun above the dorsal wrist crease, along the line joining SJ-4 Yangchi to the tip of the olecranon, between radius and ulna.

- 01Insert perpendicularly 1–1.5 cun, or thread the needle through the arm to PC-6 Neiguan. Expect local distension and soreness, occasionally radiating to the fingertips.
- 02For trunk disorders, angle the needle proximally up the forearm, 1.5–2 cun; this produces distension and soreness travelling up the arm.
- 03Perpendicular needling, 0.5–1 cun.
- 04Moxa may also be used.
- 05Alternatively, insert slightly obliquely toward the ulnar side, or obliquely toward the elbow or wrist, 0.5–1.5 cun.
- 06Can be joined by threading the needle through to PC-6 Neiguan.
- 07Caution: should the patient move the hand or arm after insertion, the needle may bend.
