Uwagi
- It has traditionally been used for nosebleed, uterine bleeding, chronic hepatitis, anal inflammation and constipation.
- One source states that it expels parasites and treats scabies and similar conditions by strengthening the functions of the Spleen, Lung and Large Intestine channels.
- A small dose slows Large Intestine motility, whereas a large dose increases it and produces a laxative effect.
- It inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
- Taken internally, its effects resemble those of Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang.
- Freshly squeezed juice from the herb is effective against skin fungal infection, hemorrhoids, mammary gland inflammation and eczema.
- Taken internally, it causes diarrhea.
- For external use, Da Huang is not an appropriate substitute for Yang Ti.
- For constipation: decoct 8g of Yang Ti with 3g Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao in 300cc of water, reduce to 150cc, and take orally.
