Lokalizacja
- 01At the third posterior sacral foramen.
- 02On the sacrum, situated inferomedial to UB-32 Ciliao, directly over the third posterior sacral foramen.
Nakłucie
- 01Insert perpendicularly 0.5–1 cun, or 1.5–2 cun if passing through the foramen.
- 02Straight insertion of 1–2 cun produces distention and soreness over the sacrum, occasionally radiating into the legs. To find the foramen, palpate for the opening with a finger before inserting; if it cannot be located, pull the needle back slightly and redirect at a new angle.
- 03Lies among the eight sacral foramina.
- 04Needle perpendicularly to a depth of 0.8–1.2 cun.
- 05Moxibustion may be used.

- UB-31 Shangliao, UB-32 Ciliao, UB-33 Zhongliao and UB-34 Xialiao together form the point group called the Eight Crevices (Eight Seams), or Baliao. As a set they regulate the urinary system (most strongly at UB-32 Ciliao, and to a lesser degree UB-33 Zhongliao), affect the Intestines (broadest effect at UB-34 Xialiao), address gynecological conditions (strongest at UB-34 Xialiao), and move Qi and Blood through the local channels and collaterals into the lower limbs (most strongly at UB-32 Ciliao and UB-33 Zhongliao).
