Lokalizacja
On the chest, directly beneath the nipple, at the lower edge of the breast in the fifth intercostal space, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline (the REN Channel). To locate it, first identify the second intercostal space, then count down three spaces to reach the fifth. In men, the nipple sits in the fourth intercostal space. In women, the point lies at the root of the breast, beneath the breast tissue itself; because a woman's nipple often does not fall 4 cun lateral to the midline, it should not be used as a landmark here.
Nakłucie
- 01Insert obliquely, 0.3–0.5 cun.
- 02Or needle transversely, 0.5–1 cun.
- 03Moxibustion may be used.
- 04Alternatively, needle obliquely-transversely, medially or laterally, 0.5–1 cun, or transversely upward or downward along the channel. A deep, straight-in insertion carries substantial risk of puncturing the Lung.
