1. 01Found on the mid-axillary line within the seventh intercostal space. Note: several sources place it instead in the sixth intercostal space.
2. 026 cun below the center of the axilla on the mid-axillary line, in the seventh intercostal space.
3. 03On the chest's lateral side, along the mid-axillary line, within the sixth intercostal space.
4. 04In the sixth intercostal space on the mid-axillary line, midway between the axilla and the free end of the eleventh rib.

1. 01Insert at a slant, 0.5–0.8 cun.
2. 02Needle obliquely, 0.3–0.5 cun.
